2. What Pea is

Pea provides online cooking Missions, Skills, guides and related material designed for an adult and younger cook to use together. It is a teaching service, not a substitute for the supervising adult’s judgement about safety, allergies, equipment or a younger cook’s capability.

3. Membership choices

Founding Families — £9.50/month. A recurring monthly membership with the Paid Core plus experimental Founding Lab material and opportunities to help shape Pea.

Standard — £14.50/month. A recurring monthly membership with the main Paid Core.

V I Pea — £199 one-off. A one-off payment for the Paid Core, Founding Lab and V I Pea material while Pea continues to operate the relevant service. It is not a promise that Pea, every feature or every item of content will exist forever.

4. Recurring payments

Founding Families and Standard renew automatically each month until cancelled. Your payment method is charged the price shown when you join. You can manage, switch or cancel an eligible recurring plan online through Pea’s Stripe billing portal. Unless Stripe tells you otherwise before you confirm a change, cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

5. Switching plans

Eligible recurring members can switch between Founding Families and Standard through the billing portal. Stripe will show any credit, additional charge or timing effect before you confirm the switch.

6. Fourteen-day Pea refund promise

If this is your first Pea payment and you decide within 14 days that Pea is not for you, email us from the address attached to your membership and we will refund that first payment. This voluntary promise sits alongside, and does not replace, any statutory cancellation or consumer rights you may have.

7. If Pea changes

Pea is deliberately evolving. Individual Missions, Skills and features may be added, changed or retired. We will not use this clause to remove substantially everything a paid membership was sold as providing without an appropriate remedy.

8. Price changes

Recurring prices may change in future. Any change affecting an existing member will be communicated clearly before it takes effect and will not be applied retrospectively. A specific Founding price or reward period that Pea has expressly promised in writing will be honoured for the stated period.

9. Personal household use

Membership is for your household’s personal use. Paid material must not be resold, republished, publicly shared or used to create a competing copy of Pea. Purchasing access does not transfer ownership of Pea’s written teaching, illustrations, photography, branding, software or other protected material.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep Pea available and useful, but internet services sometimes fail. We may need maintenance or temporary interruption. Nothing here removes rights you have when digital content or services are not supplied as legally required.

11. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under UK consumer law.

12. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email ed@peaonthetable.com. We’ll acknowledge it promptly and aim to resolve it fairly.

13. Founding Families

The Founding Lab is the experimental part of Pea. Prototypes may change substantially or disappear. Useful feedback that genuinely changes Pea may sometimes earn credits or extensions at Pea’s discretion unless a specific reward has been promised in writing.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable to the UK nation in which you live, and do not take away any mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring proceedings available to you.
