What Pea knows — and why.

What we collect

We may collect your first name, email address, number of younger cooks, optional age bands, optional adult cooking-confidence answer, newsletter choice, account/access information, Mission usage events, Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and billing status, and limited administrative notes.

We do not ask for children’s names or dates of birth. Please do not send Pea unnecessary personal information about children.

Why we use it

We use account and membership information to provide Pea, authenticate you, control access and administer purchases. We use limited service and product data to operate, secure and improve Pea. We use newsletter data for marketing only where the necessary consent or other lawful permission applies.

Payments

Stripe handles payment-card processing. Pea stores Stripe identifiers and billing state needed to provide the right access, but Pea does not store your full card number.

Email

Resend is used for transactional email such as sign-in links and service messages. Marketing email is separate: the Pea Note checkbox is optional and is not required to buy or use Pea.

Hosting and service providers

Pea uses Cloudflare for website, Worker and database infrastructure, Stripe for payments and billing, and Resend for transactional email. These providers may process information on Pea’s behalf under their own security and data-processing arrangements.

Product analytics

Pea records a limited set of first-party product events such as Missions opened, steps reached, route/serving choices and completion. We do not need advertising trackers to understand whether the course works.

Lawful bases

Depending on the activity, Pea relies on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required — particularly for optional marketing.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while needed to provide or administer Pea. Essential transaction, tax and accounting records may be kept for the period required by law. Security and product records are reviewed and retained only as long as reasonably necessary. Marketing consent records may be retained as necessary to demonstrate consent and honour opt-outs.

International processing

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, Pea relies on the safeguards available through the relevant provider arrangements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, plus the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Start with ed@peaonthetable.com and we’ll try to sort it out.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, the updated version and date will be published here. Where the law requires a more direct notice, we will provide one.
